Summer Camp

No matter what your son or daughter considers fun, USNWC Summer Camp offers exciting programs for every child. Let them fall in love with the outdoors in one of our unique camps. Our camps are the best summer day camps in North Carolina. We offer all day camps and even an overnight survival camp, guaranteed to make your child’s summer unforgettable.

Wet ‘n’ Wild Adventure Camp

The name Wet n’ Wild Adventure says it all. This themed camp has combined the fun of a traditional summer camp with the excitement of an outdoor adventure experience. With a range of AllSport Activities that includes, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, flatwater kayaking and team building activities, this will be a camp that your child will not forget. The last day of camp concludes with the children taking on a series of activities called the Wet n’ Wild Olympics.

Wilderness Voyageurs Adventure Camp

Just like our Wet N’ Wild camp, Wilderness Voyageurs campers will experience a wide range of AllSport Activities including whitewater rafting, ropes courses and zip-lines. What sets this camp apart from our Wet N’ Wild camp is its focus on the exploration of the outdoors. Camp participants will gain first hand knowledge of wilderness survival techniques and explore nature through eco-scavenger hunts and games. The Wilderness Voyageurs camp is great for the child who loves to spend time exploring the outdoors.

Whitewater Kayak Camp

The Whitewater Kayak Camp is a full day camp that will introduce your child to whitewater kayaking in a comfortable and safe environment through the guidance of our instructors. Starting off with basic boat control and building confidence, campers will progress through the week learning more advanced skills, such as rolling.

Survival Camp

Survival Camp will develop and test your child’s ability to survive in the wild. We instill techniques such as shelter-building, wilderness first aid, fire building, lost proofing and map and compass skills. With a survival focus your child will also participate in games and teambuilding activities. Each session operates like a day camp with one overnight stay at the U.S. National Whitewater Center.

Rock, Ride and Paddle Camp

Rock, Ride and Paddle Camp focuses on building your kid’s basic skills in mountain biking, rock climbing and whitewater kayaking. Each day is split into two unique clinics, focusing on activities and skill enhancements that will challenge your child, while developing their confidence. Prior experience needed in basic bike riding skills. Campers also have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of additional activities at the USNWC including whitewater rafting.
