Survival 101
Survivor 101 is a great beginner course for adventure seeking adults. Participants learn the basics of wilderness safety by focusing on the seven priorities of survival; proper mental attitude, first aid, shelter, fire craft, signaling, water and food.
Instruction includes learning different knots and lashings, comprehending topographic maps and compasses, and building shelter. This course is a “modern” survival course; we encourage proper equipment, preparedness and the expectation of rescue within 72 hours. A complete equipment list will be sent upon registration. Dinner and breakfast will be provided.
Each program will be led by USNWC survival instructors who are trained in the field by U.S. Air Force Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) instructors.
